Eyelid Procedures
What is Blepharoplasty?
Blepharoplasty is the most common form of eyelid surgery, and is a safe, effective procedure that removes excess fat, muscle, and skin from both the upper and lower eyelids. Click here for more details.
Upper Lid Blepharoplasty (Upper Eyelids)
Droopy eyelids can make you look older and can also impair vision. In upper eyelid surgery, the physician marks the individual lines and creases of the lids keeping the scars as invisible as possible. Click here for more details.
Lower Lid Blepharoplasty (Lower Eyelids)
Dr. Shapiro will evaluate your lower eyelids for fullness and excess skin. If you have a minimal amount of skin laxity, and/or a small amount of fullness, Laser Blepharoplasty might be the solution for you.
A small 1mm opening is made and a laser fiber is inserted to melt the fat and tighten the skin. No stitches are required and the recovery is extremely rapid, with little or no downtime.
Dr. Shapiro has trained several physicians on this revolutionary procedure. This procedure is not approved for upper eyelids.
