Aaron Shiloh, MD, FSIR is proud of his inherent ability to diagnose and treat various medical conditions—no matter how small or large. A leading interventionalist serving patients throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, Dr. Shiloh specializes in offering the latest and most effective minimally invasive techniques when it comes to providing treatment. He is an expert in many vascular conditions, but his true passion lies in venous diseases.
Education & Experience
Aaron Shiloh holds his B.Sc. from Pennsylvania State University, where he concentrated on pre-medicine and earned an honors degree through the Schreyer Scholars program through his thesis on the role of Phosphodiesterase type IV in the regulation of the canine basilar artery.
Dr. Shiloh earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, graduating in the top 10 percent of his class. Next, he went into a year-long general surgery internship through the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and then became a resident in radiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. After serving as chief resident, Dr. Shiloh went on to complete a fellowship in interventional radiology at Thomas Jefferson Hospital.
Double board certified in radiology and interventional radiology, Dr. Shiloh was recently awarded a fellowship with the Society of Interventional Radiology, which only 10 percent of doctors in IR are granted.
Dr. Shiloh is a former leader in the Philadelphia Angiography and Interventional Radiology Society, and served as secretary & treasurer, vice president, and president between 2008 and 2011.
Since completing his terms in the leadership of the Philadelphia Angiography Society, Dr. Shiloh has become more active in various societies. He has been an invited lecturer at multiple national meetings including the 2016 and 2017 SIR meeting, the 2017 Aesthetic Show and many others. He also enjoys teaching medical students, residents, and other doctors. In fact, many physicians from around the USA have trained with Dr. Shiloh on various vein procedures.
Dr Shiloh has spent his whole career doing minimally invasive procedures which allow for shorter recovery and less pain.
His ability to perform minimally invasive procedures and his vein work lead him toward proficiency in cosmetic sclerotherapy and aesthetic procedures like botox and fillers. He then began doing Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections for joint pain which lead to further training in PRP for hair regrowth. Now, under the tutelage of an international expert in SmartLipo, Dr. Richard Goldfarb, Dr. Shiloh is using his expertise in ultrasound to enhance the experience allowing for real time visualization of the fat and the underlying muscles.
When Dr. Shiloh is not working, he enjoys traveling with his wife and four young children. He enjoys coaching soccer, skiing, snowboarding, and golf.
