Microblading Awards
One of the first providers of the technique in the Philadelphia area, Janine was featured in an article in a 2016 Philly Mag. The same year she was the first in the area to be named the best in Philly for microblading. She was also featured in a spot on the morning show, Good Day Philadelphia.
Janine has also received national recognition. The beauty magazine, Allure, recognized her as the person to go to in Philadelphia for microblading in 2018. Their “All About Eyes” feature named people all across the country for different services. Last year, a popular local blogger, Coming up Roses, featured Janine as well.
What is Microblading?
Microblading is designed to give you the perfect eyebrows. Whether you need a dramatic correction or fully have to rebuild missing eyebrows, microblading is your solution. It’s a long-lasting fix that you can count on for a long time. Many people have patchy, thinning, or virtually no eyebrows. Many others have eyebrows that are extremely light. Microblading can be used for all of these conditions.
Microblading uses a specific handheld tool to insert pigment under your skin. The pigment is selected to match your current brows or the color of the brows that you want. The aesthetician uses small, hair-like strokes to make the pigment look like natural brow hair. You’ll have the thick, full brows you want and no one will be able to tell that they aren’t your natural hair.
Each microblading session takes around 30-40 minutes. We use an anesthetic to help make you comfortable, but most patients report little to no pain during the process. The length the treatment lasts will depend on your skin type. Typically, it lasts around 18-24 months. If you have very oily skin, the ink may fade faster from your skin.
Not All Microblading Providers are the Same
It’s important to go to someone that knows what they’re doing. There’s a reason why Janine has been recommended by so many outlets. She’s a trusted, experienced artist that knows what she’s doing. You shouldn’t really have any side effects if you go to someone like Janine.
It’s also important that you follow their aftercare instructions exactly. Similar to tattoos, microbladed eyebrows need to be protected from the sun, or they’ll fade faster. Make sure that you use sunscreen when you’re outside for long periods of time. While they’re healing, don’t wet them for a week. You should also avoid using makeup on the area as they heal.
