Tummy Tuck Bucks County, PA

Tummy Tuck An Overview

Tummy Tuck PhiladelphiaIn an ideal world, dieting, gym workouts and Pilates sessions would be all you needed to get rid of sagging skin around your mid-section. But if that hasn’t worked, we can help.

With over 60 years of combined experience and double board certification, Dr. Goldfarb and Dr. Silberman can provide exceptional results that reduce the appearance of loose and sagging skin around the tummy and improve abdominal muscle definition.

Combine your tummy tuck procedure with laser liposuction or other body sculpting for added benefits and definition.

Tummy Tuck What to Expect

We offer two types of tummy tuck procedures that are completed in our Langhorne PA medical center under local anesthesia.

Avelar Awake Tummy Tuck

Also called mini tummy tuck, the Avelar procedure reduces excess skin that typically is a result of childbirth or weight loss. Developed in Brazil by Dr. Juarez Avelar, this unique procedure that combines abdominoplasty (to remove excess skin) with advanced liposuction (to tighten the remaining skin).

This procedure does not address muscle tears or the relocation of the belly button that is often necessary with a more extensive skin removal.

Awake Tummy Tuck

Pioneered by Dr. Goldfarb and Dr. Silberman as an alternative to the traditional tummy tuck, this procedure can address loose, sagging skin as well as separated muscles for great results without the risks and downtime associated with surgery.

Non Surgical Options

If you have a minor issue around your midsection, or aren’t ready for surgery, you may be well suited for one of our nonsurgical body contouring procedures. Laser liposuction removes excess fat while tightening the skin. We also offer a variety of advanced treatment solutions that tighten loose skin. Learn more:

Tummy Tuck FAQs

Is the Avelar Tummy Tuck right for me?

Dr. Goldfarb will evaluate your health, medical history and cosmetic goals before recommending a treatment plan. The Avelar Tummy Tuck is not appropriate for patients who are obese, have certain medical conditions or have minimal/excessive loose skin to be treated. We offer fully tummy tuck procedures for patients who need more extensive treatment.

Is there a long recovery after surgery?

We perform tummy tuck procedures under a local anesthetic and most patients leave the Center for Smart Lipo within a couple of hours of surgery. Some patients are able to return to work the following day, however we recommend a 2 – 3 day mild recovery period to ensure maximum results.

How soon will results be noticeable?

Patients typically see results right away, although best results are seen within 2-6 weeks post surgery after initial swelling has subsided and the area has healed. Dr. Goldfarb will suggest compression garments to be worn for a period of time post treatment for maximum results.

What are the benefits of a tummy tuck?

For women, a tummy tuck can help to repair separated muscles and tighten loose skin that can be the result of both pregnancy and a c-section delivery. For men and women who have lost a significant amount of weight, the procedure will reduce sagging skin and support increased muscle tone as a result of diet and exercise.

The reduction in excess skin tissue and muscle repair can help patients restore better posture and a stronger core, a benefit for overall health and physical well being. Results from your procedure can be maintained through regular exercise and a healthy diet that reduces the risk of weight gain.
